Cable/Harness Testing Made Easy.

Considering the competitive challenges faced by manufacturers of cables and harnesses, we need all the help we can get.

Last month I participated in the Wire Harness Manufacturer's Association (WHMA) conference in Orlando and was impressed with the member's efforts to strengthen each other and share ideas.

This month's newsletter is a kind of public service announcement from us, informing you of these resources.

If you have any questions or comments, call us at 1-800-441-9910.

Take a look at three great resources to improve your assembly operations.

  • WHMA is the professional organization that represents cable/harness assembly houses. They provide a cooperative environment for assembly houses to work together to serve their customers.
  • Wiring Harness News is the only industry publication focusing specifically on the cable/wire harness industry. It carries technical articles on assembly techniques and profiles companies in the wire harness industry.
  • A-620: WHMA has worked with IPC, the organization known for A-610 and the "J" standard for acceptability of printed circuit boards, to develop a standard for cables and harnesses. More than just a standard, the A-620 includes a series of training materials as well.
